Begging

Begging is the act of requesting something from someone else. Begging might take the form of a physical act, a verbal act, or both. In a BDSM-style relationship, a submit partner typically begs the dominant spouse for something. However, any couple may engage in begging as part of their sexual activity.

More About Begging

Verbal begging includes using the phrase "please," bribing to persuade the dominant, and general expressions of despair. Physical displays of padding include bowing or kneeling in front of the dominant person, kissing their hands or feet, or making other submissive gestures. Another way to plead is to make certain facial expressions, like puppy dog eyes.

The submissive may be encouraged to beg by the dominant by depriving them of anything, such as sexual pleasure or the ability to use the restroom. This might serve to reinforce the roles in a BDSM relationship, or it could be a component of humiliation play. Reminding submissives that their bodies are no longer theirs but rather belong to the dominant is another benefit of begging.

Begging can also be used as a form of punishment by a dominating. A subordinate might have to beg to be spanned, for instance. Instead of attempting to distance themselves from their punishment, this compels the subject to participate in it.

In certain role-playing situations, such as parent-child role-playing, begging can also be a potent element. Begging may make these kinds of scenes more realistic and robust.
