Cross-dresser

When someone dresses in clothing that is typical of the opposite gender from their biological gender, they are considered to be a cross-dresser. Men who dress like women and wear blouses and dresses are considered male-to-female crossdressers. Women who dress like men are known as female-to-male crossdressers.

Some people abbreviate the phrase "cross-dresser" as "CD" or write it as "crossdresser" without the hyphen. Cross-dresser and transvestite are frequently used interchangeably. Others, however, reserve the term "transvestite" for those who like having sex while wearing clothing from the other gender.

More About Cross-dresser

A cross-dresser may occasionally or regularly wear clothing that is associated with the other gender. They might do it behind closed doors or on rare occasions. Being a crossdresser has no right or wrong method.

The question of whether women may ever be classified as cross-dressers, or even if all women should be, is up for debate because it has become more normal for women to wear shirts and slacks as men do. Some argue that women who intentionally attempt to appear like men, like drag kings, should be the only ones to use this phrase.

Unlike transsexuals, crossdressers typically do not identify as the opposing gender, even though they dress in clothing that is associated with the opposite gender. As a matter of fact, calling someone transgender a "cross-dresser" is likely to offend them. Transgender individuals do more than dress in the opposite gender. Their clothing choices reflect their actual gender identity. Cross-dressers, on the other hand, usually just like the fit or style of clothing from the other gender.

Additionally, a crossdresser's choice to dress differently from their biological sex is not always influenced by their sexual orientation. There are several types of crossdressers, including those who identify as heterosexual, homosexual, bisexual, or with other sexual identities.

Crossdressers may feel a range of emotions as a result of their clothing choices. They might be happiest and most at ease when they cross-dress. Additionally, it could make them feel guilty and ashamed, notably if those close to them don't support their crossdressing. No matter what they wear, crossdressers can feel good about themselves when they get love and acceptance from friends and family.
