Sensation Play
A wide range of activities, both vanilla and kinky, that use the body's senses to arouse and stimulate a partner are referred to as "sensation play."
Sensation play does not have to be so restricted, even if it is frequently associated with skin sensations. Sensation play can also involve taste, hearing, and sight.
More About Sensation Play
Although sensation play can take many forms, it usually refers to any activity involving the senses. Playing with feathers and other soft objects, light blindfolding and bondage with scarves, or temperature play with cold or hot wax are examples of light sensory play.
Bondage, tickling, and sensory deprivation (beyond a basic blindfold) are examples of sensation play activities that can become fetishistic in a person's sexual life. In these situations, sensation play may include prolonged sensory deprivation (such as wearing mittens or a hood), pain (such as with vampire gloves), and other components. Paddling, flogging, and spanking are examples of impact play, which is also categorized as sensation play.
Sensation play aims to simply give a partner's body strange and stimulating sensations. It is only constrained by one's creativity and, of course, by one's boundaries, which should always be maintained.
