Top 10 Sexy Scenes from Horror Movies

With the help of these seductive movies, liven up Halloween and examine the boundary between stimulating and frightening.

Since it's October, everyone is thinking about horror. Hardcore horror fans are aware that many of their favourite films feature really hot sex, even if many people don't consider horror films to be the best genre for such scenes. What, after all, drives the heroine's girlfriend to search for a secluded home in the woods? Of indeed, the pursuit of sex! Since our innate desire for sexual gratification can, in fact, have terrible outcomes, it seems to reason that horror movies, both historical and contemporary, are filled with a ton of seductive and steamy moments.

The Hunger (1983)

A list like this would be incomplete without including what many people believe to be the most popular horror movie ever made. In The Hunger, David Bowie had some sex that is quite sexy. However, the scene with Susan Sarandon and Catherine Deneuve is still being discussed decades later. When all parties involved receive hate mail, you can always tell that the sex scene is lasting.

Dellamorte Dellamore (1994)

A much-praised, little-known movie called Cemetery Man tells the story of a graveyard caretaker. Although the majority of Cemetery Man is about people dating zombies, the scene with Francesco and a pretty widow is both gorgeously filmed and really erotic.

Cat People (1982)

Here, I mean the remake with Malcolm McDowell and Nastassja Kinski. After you've overcome the cruelty, bestiality, and incest, good's probably not for everyone. However, Cat People continues to rank highly among the most popular horror films.

Hostel (2005)

Certainly not to everyone's taste; this is one of those really violent horror films. However, the film opens with three global visitors romping around looking for strippers, hookers, and unrestrained sex. We're happy (and titillated) to witness Josh, who was recently dumped and feeling hopeless, have sex with his attractive hostel roommate.

Monkey Shines (1988)

This obscure Romero treasure is notable for its uncommon portrayal of sex with a disability. The bond between a guy who becomes paralyzed from the neck down and his service monkey takes up most of the film. However, his wild and explicit sex session with his physical therapist, Linda, is undoubtedly the sexiest disabled sex ever seen on camera.

Now that we're halfway through the list, I feel compelled to take a moment to highlight three scenes that, although not strictly sex scenes, nevertheless have memorable erotic dancing moments. A confusing and strangely evocative musical-strip routine performed for no apparent purpose can be found in Wicker Man (1973). Really, can you think of another movie in which a woman abruptly takes off her clothes and starts singing? In the sexy scene from Fright Night (1985), a very ancient vampire makes out with a high school girl in the middle of a packed club. As zombie movies rarely are, 1985's Return of the Living Dead isn't exactly a sexy flick. However, Trash—yes, that is the character's name—tends to strip off and dance wildly. Kids from the 1980s probably recall this as a delightful, sexy little interlude that happens right before the devastation starts.

Interview with the Vampire (1994)

Vampires are among the sexiest characters in the horror genre because of their nocturnal tendencies and propensity to bite people's necks. There is a lengthy, highly sexy neck-biting sequence in this movie, even though Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt weren't precisely getting on. I could spend all day watching Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise sulk at one another. However, that might be TMI.

Embrace of the Vampire (1995)

The vampires again! Being sexually attracted to someone you grew up watching on television has a little unsettling quality. Fans, however, are obsessed with Alyssa Milano's nude appearance in this otherwise poor movie. (See Vampire Bites: The Other Penetrative Sex Act for more on the vampire's sexual attraction).

The Howling (1981)

This film, which debuted amid the significant werewolf craze of the 1980s, is the greatest of its kind. The main character's husband once chooses to have a passionate encounter with the local werewolf nymphomaniac. That is, if you find it attractive to watch someone change into a wolf during intercourse, which I must confess I do.

Gothic (1986)

Some titillating sex scenes are just one of the many reasons this is a lovely movie. There is a sultry little orgy with all four of the prominent cast members, including Natasha Richardson and Myriam Cyr, in addition to the scene where Gabriel Byrne and Julian Sands make out. Fans of literature, in particular, ought to put this movie on their "must-watch" list.

Crimes of Passion (1984)

This is a strange little movie, as one might anticipate from filmmaker Ken Russell. The sequence where Joanna (Kathleen Turner) takes Bobby (John Laughlin) to a sexual reawakening, which takes place mostly in shadow, is pretty hot, even though most of the sex in this film is more humorous than passionate. Regarding a few worthy mentions...

Although the non-violent 3-way in American Psycho (2000) is more amusing than attractive, it's impossible to ignore the allure of a nude Christian Bale. Although Basic Instinct isn't exactly a horror film, the first sex scene is really hot—at least until the stabbing begins. Because of the animalistic sex scene between Lisa Bonet and Mickey Rourke, Angel Heart (1987) is primarily regarded as the movie that stole her innocence. Lastly, guys are unable to stop talking about Natassia Henstridge in Species (1995) when she is nude. Although I don't personally benefit much from aliens, I can understand their allure.

Why not spend Halloween indoors with this list? Do you want an exciting, chilling, and sugary night? You might not even need to say "trick or treat" if you customize your outfit to fit the movie of your choice!
