Wrap it Before You Tap it.
February is a month filled with festivities, whether it's honoring the accomplishments of Black and African American history's luminaries or the achievements of contemporary trailblazers who are working to better the lives of Black and Brown people. With Valentine's Day approaching, February is also the month of love.
Support Black-owned businesses
Let's combine the two this year by honoring and raising awareness of B Condoms, the first condom company owned by Black people. Jason Panda, the company's founder, intended to increase the accessibility of sexual health goods after realizing the substantial health inequalities affecting the Black community in 2011. The B Condoms brand, with its tagline, "protecting the culture," engages in sexual health discussions and collaborates with neighborhood-based organizations that support the Black community by advancing health and wellness. Think about promoting this and other Black-owned businesses this month. They provide condoms in a variety of sizes and shapes, including ones that are flavored and colored.
National Condom Week
Valentine's Day marks the beginning of National Condom Week (February 14–21), which is an ideal time to experiment with different types or stock up on your preferred type. The effectiveness of condoms in preventing HIV and other sexually transmitted illnesses is very high. They are also very good at avoiding unwanted pregnancies. Despite their ability to keep you safe, condoms can nevertheless result in pleasurable sexual experiences.
Tips for using condoms
Check the expiration
You want to make sure the condoms are used correctly for safety. Verify that they are not dried out, torn, ripped, or expired. Condoms ought to be kept in cool locations. Wearing them appropriately and utilizing them often also enhances safety. See these useful examples for further guidance on how to put on a condom correctly.
Size matters
There are many different sizes of condoms. The key to avoiding slippage, rupture, or discomfort for the individual wearing the condom is to use the correct size, which should fit snugly.
Avoid Allergies
Select a brand or kind of condom that is comfortable for each person having sex. Some people are prone to skin irritations or have allergies to latex. If so, you might want to try a polyurethane condom, which is constructed of sturdy material and is an alternative to latex. Condoms made of polyurethane are frequently thinner and fit more comfortably. It's critical to express discomfort and try something new. Despite the pain, this is safer than not wearing condoms.
Explore different styles
Various styles enhance enjoyment. Condoms are available in a wide variety of colors and tastes, ribbed, lubricated, and other styles. These approaches assist you and your spouse in exploring different feelings and figuring out what suits you the best. Try a variety pack if you aren't sure.
Lube it up
Pick the appropriate lubricant. Use a water-based or silicone-based lubricant if you want to use a latex or polyurethane condom.
This National Condom Week and everyone that follows, put an end to your worries and enjoy the pleasure that comes with having sex.
